My background in fisheries engineering is grounded in a bachelor’s degree from Istanbul University, supported by an earlier foundation in agricultural technology and shaped by professional experience in the fisheries sector. This hub brings together the systems, tools, projects, and areas of continuing development that inform how I understand the field.
Areas of Interest
My areas of interest include fisheries and aquaculture systems, particularly recirculating aquaculture systems, together with water quality, water-related engineering, project development, and the environmental context in which production systems operate.
Systems and Technologies
Recirculating aquaculture systems and project development form part of my existing academic foundation. I am continuing to deepen this foundation through further study in hydrology and hydraulics and by developing my use of AutoCAD, Plant 3D, QGIS, EPANET, and HEC-RAS.
Projects and Case Studies
A central aim of this hub is to turn knowledge into documented case studies. These studies will examine how site conditions, water systems, production requirements, technical drawings, and environmental considerations can be brought together within a structured engineering process.
Knowledge Base
This hub will also collect notes, references, technical concepts, and observations related to fisheries engineering. It will document not only finished outcomes but also the research and reasoning through which a project or technical question develops.
Professional Development
My approach to professional development is not to repeat foundational fisheries education, but to deepen specific capabilities that extend it. Priority is given to structured learning and official resources that strengthen water engineering, technical drawing, spatial analysis, and hydraulic modeling.
Related Fields
My perspective is further informed by a background in agricultural technology, graduate coursework in environmental ecology, and master’s degrees in occupational safety and NGO management. Together, these fields contribute to how I think about production systems, environmental conditions, risk, organizations, and cooperative structures.
